Accommodation

I will be travelling with a friend, can you organise twin beds?

Twin beds can easily be arranged, as long as we know in advance of your arrival.
Activities

My husband (who doesn't paint) is a keen golfer. Is there a golf course near you?

Yes, there is. The Lamborghini golf club in Panicale is a short ten-minute drive away, a nine-hole course is open all year round. We would be happy to help arrange this for non-painting partners.
Car hire

Do we need to hire a car?

This is totally up to you, but we would advise it, especially if you are with a non-painting partner, as there is so much to see within an hour's drive, such as Siena, Montepulciano, Lake Trasimeno and Cortona. However once you are here, and on the course, there is no specific requirement for your own transport. Non-painting partners can enjoy the private estate with tennis courts, swimming pool (in season), beautiful walks through the woods and the chance to hire mountain bikes to explore the local area. Be warned, though, we do live in and around the Tuscan and Umbrian hills, some of which can be a little challenging!
Courses

How many people are on your courses?

We aim to keep our numbers limited to ensure a lot of one-to-one teaching, the average number on any course is likely to be 5 or 6 and the maximum number would be 8 people.
Directions

We are hiring a car at Rome airport. Is it difficult to get to you?

Not really. If you are travelling by car we are just 10 minutes away from the main motorway through the spine of Italy, the A1. Our junction is Chiusi. Leave the A1 motorway at the exit Chiusi Chianciano, midway between Florence and Rome. Simply follow the signs towards Perugia until, after a few kilometres, you arrive at a small town called Moiano. Look for a large brown sign on the left indicating Le Coste. Follow these signs into the estate, through the gates and up the cypress-lined main drive. Once in the estate, you will be on private land and must look out for signs to our house, ‘Siliano Alto’.Any problems, please call +39 346 10 80 654 and I will come and find you!

We will be driving from Perugia airport. How do we get to you?

As soon as you leave the airport, follow the signs for Perugia or Firenze. You will soon find yourself on a two lane motorway. Continue on this main road for about 25 minutes until you see signs for the junction, Magione. At this point, leave the motorway and follow signs for Chiusi. You will pass by very close to the beautiful Lake Trasimeno and after a further 15 minutes or so you will enter a small town called Moiano. Look for a large brown sign on the right indicating Le Coste. Follow these signs into the estate, through the gates and up the cypress-lined main drive. Once in the estate, you will be on private land and must look out for signs to our house, ‘Siliano Alto’.Any problems, please call +39 346 10 80 654 and I will come and find you!
Food

I am just starting the Atkins diet (i.e. no pasta, pizza, ice-cream, wine and coffee) will that be a problem?

Yes.

Do you cater for special dietary requirements?

We will do our best to help, please let us know on the booking form.
Linens

Do I need to bring towels?

No, all linens are provided.
Location

Where are you based?

We live on the border of Tuscany and Umbria, and our nearest local town, Chiusi (in the province of Siena, Tuscany) is a five-minute drive away. Chiusi is the exit for the main A1 motorway through Italy, and it is also a central hub for trains to and from all parts of the country. We are exactly midway between Florence and Rome, just over an hour from each of these magnificent cities, and most of the major towns and cities in central Italy are within easy reach.
