Course dates for 2012
We are now in our 4th year of running painting and photography workshops here in Italy and, as usual, we have made a few changes to the schedule and the types of courses available.
3rd March to the 10th March
Artist in Italy goes to Marrakech!
This is essentially a photography course aimed at people who want to develop their skills with digital cameras and on Photoshop, in a stunning, colourful and exciting environment.
There will be time for drawing and sketching while we are there, but I want to keep the pace up as much as possible!
I am also currently organising plenty of other activities alongside the photography itself to ensure you have a complete Moroccan experience!
As with all our courses, the group size will remain small to ensure lots of individual attention.
We will be staying at a luxury Riad in the heart of the Medina, close to the extraordinary Djemaa el Fna open air market, one of the busiest squares in Africa and the world. The square bustles with acrobats, story-tellers, water-sellers, dancers and musicians and, by night, food stalls open in the square, turning it into a huge open-air restaurant. Wow!

28th April to the 5th May
A beginner's guide to painting and watercolour techniques
This is a course aimed at beginners and intermediate painters.
You may come with an idea of what you might like to improve, or you can come simply wanting to have a go, even for the very first time. We will be painting and drawing in the delightful hilltop towns of Tuscany and Umbria, as well as some of the stunning landscapes that surround them. Your time will be split between working in the studio and painting out on location, and we will also find time to soak up some of the atmosphere of this wonderful country. ...learn more...

12th May to the 19th May
Art workshop
This course is aimed at people who enjoy painting or photography and would also like to experiment with some basic printmaking techniques. The week will be divided between working in the studio and painting and drawing in the surrounding area.
You can draw inspiration from anything that captures your imagination and spend the rest of the course working to develop your ideas. This is also an ideal week for Botanical Illustration. Our small group sizes will ensure that you will get plenty of individual tuition.
This week is about having fun, 'having a go' and discovering new possibilities....learn more..

'Some like it hot' workshop
This course is aimed at people who enjoy painting or photography and would also like to experiment with some basic printmaking techniques in the heat of a Tuscan Summer. The week will be divided between working in the studio and painting and drawing in the surrounding area. As it gets hotter at this time of year, there will be more free time for sitting by the pool and relaxing, with studio time continuing in the late afternoon.
You can draw inspiration from anything that captures your imagination and spend the rest of the course working to develop your ideas. This is also an ideal week for Botanical Illustration. Our small group sizes will ensure that you will get plenty of individual tuition.
